About the Area

The properties of Holidays in Portugal are in the Ribatejo area of Portugal and in the district of Santarem, The historical town of Tomar is a only short drive away.  This truly is an unspoilt part of real Portugal.

Casa Sandra, for example, is in San Silvestre, a typical Portuguese hamlet 15 minutes drive from the Tomar. Within walking distance is a restaurant, mini market and even a hairdresser, and fresh bread is delivered daily for less than half a euro (approximately 30p).

 The scenery and sights in and around Tomar are exceptional. From Fatima to Dornes where, as you walk across the churchyard at the very top of the town the appearance of the lakes caressing the hills and rolling into the distance will take your breath away.
